Mass in sphenoid sinus

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum or not to post in, but I recently ha an MRI done on my head/neck and spine  and the doctors found a mass in my sphenoid sinus. This was found actually in 2008, when I got a CT scan done, however the doctors for some reason never informed us about it and it was rediscovered a few months ago. I got a follow up CT done to compare the two to see if it had grown, which it has but not very much to the point they have concern. But I have been feeling nauseous and dizzy lately and I was wondering if it were possible for the mass to cause this?

Hi, thank you for your reply. I have a digital copy of the scans taken, is there an email in which I can send these to where you would be able to revise them? Thank you.

Hi
The sphenoid sinus is the bony cavity that encases the pituitary gland. There is not a lot of room in there. So if the mass is showing up on a CT scan and because you are now having symptoms, you might want to get a little more aggressive in getting this assessed better.

Do you know if the mass is on the pituitary gland or pressing on the gland? Have you seen an endocrinologist? neuroendocrinologist? surgeon?

And yes the nausea and dizziness could be hormonal i.e.: thyroid, cortisol etc. The growth could be pushing on the pit gland and or the carotid arteries and/or optic nerve depending where it is.
take care
