bad memory

I am 55, female, and have developed a dreadful memory.  I know people forget things, but, on times I get worried about dementia, I've done a memory test with the doctor which I passed, that sort of thing I can do easily.  But its day to day life, for example I take zapain for cluster headaches, I usually take half of it out as I find they make me really sleepy, today I am not sure if I've accidentally taken a whole one.  I have to double check appointment times.  Once I walked home, stood outside my own front door and didnt think I lived there, I had to think and think, then I eventually realised I did.  Dont know where I would have gone.  I forget my medication on times.  I cant think of anything else at the moment, (LOL) but its just on going.  I did think of keeping a list of what I forget, and then take it to the gp, and see what he thinks.
