Brain Worm?????

I have RR Multiple Sclerosis.  On my last set of MRI's I saw something on my brain scan that I have never seen before.  As I am fully aware that I don't know what I am looking at, but to me, it looks like a worm, so as you can tell, I am kinda worried.  I requested the written report from the radiologist but they did not note anything.  Keeping in mind that they missed 4 lesions on my last set of C-Spine MRI's, my confidence is not up to high with the radiologist.  Has anyone ever seen this in a brain MRI?  Any cause for concerns or to have it re-read?  Thank you so much for any insight!

That is funny! Well, in a way it is something other than MS - and it is benign!!!

It is freaky looking! You could probably start a good viral email with that... see you on snopes!

I went ahead and took the picture back to the radiologist.  It is a blood vessell, HA!  We all got a good laugh, but he did say that it looked like a worm and he would freak out too if he saw it.  I had just never seen a shot like this in all of my past MRI's since 2007, so it kinda concerned me. I was hopefully wishing that it were something other than the Multiple Sclerosis, but I guess I will have to start the meds tomorrow as planned.  Good luck to you and thank you for the responses!

Thank you for the response. I am still trying to figure out the best places on the site.  I appreciate your suggestion and will try to post it somewhere else.  I hope you are doing well!

You are posting with patients (who get things missed too, sadly) so I suggest you post under the expert forum for brain tumors where a doctor can look at it.

I don't trust the radiologists either...
