I have a pituitary tumor & am having some side effects which are worrying me

I am due for surgery in about 4 weeks on a non-functioning pituitary tumor (1.7cm) which has invaded the sinus cavernous, but am worried that there my be more to this tumor than meets the eye although my doctor says the symptoms and my tumor are not related and are probably due to stress.  My symptoms are headache, fatigue (both of which I understand can be because of the tumor), but I also have severe ear ache, blurred vision, memory problems, confusion sometimes, problems finding words for things I would normally know, irritability, left facial numbness and neck pain/stiffness.  Has anyone else experienced this at all?

I also have a pituitary macroadenoma and have had it since 2009. It is non functioning and I cannot afford to have anymore mris so I don’t know if it’s gotten any bigger. I have headaches and nausea for which I take migraines prophylaxis. I don’t have blurred vision yet but the neurosurgeon I saw said that is what could happen when the tumor pressed on the optic nerve. I haven’t heard of ear problems and the other problems may be stress related. I have them to, difficulty finding words, spacing out etc but I have been diagnosed with depression and ADD as well. Since your having surgery soon wait and see what happens after surgery and see how things are after that.

I have these symptoms, but haven’t been diagnosed with a pituitary tumor yet. I’m going for my MRI soon. My prolactin levels have been mildly elevated and my endocrinologist wants the MRI. I have horrible head/sinus pressure, heavy eyes that feel like something is constantly pulling on them. I feel dizzy, disoriented and in a brain fog 24/7. Used to happen once in a while over the years and I assumed it was allergies, now it’s every day, all day. I’m fatigued and have cognitive difficulties and in short, just feel plain dumb lately.

I’m concerned it’s a non-functioning tumor that entered my sinus cavity, like yours. I have high prolactin but no lactation or anything. Did you have any abnormal hormonal readings?

I just wanted to let you know I’m having these types of symptoms too and am being checked into for a pituitary tumor.
