But if they cant spot potentially serious brain issues...
Since the pupil issue goes back for some time, it may be that it is how you are.
Perhaps the doctor will order an MRI.
CTs are cheaper. They have a lot less radiation now. You get more flying.
Anyone else have an opinion?
I have to wait to see the neurologist. My GP said insurance wont cover an MRI otherwise.
I had a CT Scan at the ER but, I thin they are wrong. Im not better and that scan was almost a month ago. The ER tells me its a migraine...
CT scans can miss things and my age means nothing!!!! I dont understand why CT scans are done for head issues. They expose patients to radiations and can miss a lot of things...
I have 2 pictures between 2010-2011 That look like the 1 pupil is larger.
I recall in another post that the doctor said the pupils are within normal limits.
Did you look at old pics to see if it went back in time?
I know when I first found out about my tumor I was really freaked out as well... but anxiety just does not help the situation.
I have some links in the health pages if that will help.
I dont see the neurologist for another week or so. My pupil really freaks me out.
I really need someone to talk to about this. Thank god i found you. I am as terrrified as you are. Probably even more terrified. I am 18 and i have been dizzy for 4 months iv been to ent, er, neurologist they all said i was fine until i went to gynecologist the doctor told me one of my hormones is high and it might be caused from a tumor in my pitary gland whch is in brain apparenlty im parranoid i just had an mri today mri is not scary itself its the afterwards of it that scared me they gave me my cd and trust me if i had the courage to open it i would know if i have anythig wrong because ive been searching on internet pictures of ppl with tumors for months like crazy i dont know what to do but you are not aloneee
Brain tumors are pretty rare. Headaches on the other hand are pretty common. But if you get yourself whipped up with anxiety... you need to get help for the anxiety more than anything else.
One sided headaches are most likely migraine. It is classic for migraine. It even causes nausea.
So enjoy your kids, listen to some soft music, put a cold pack or warm pack (whatever works), sit in the dark, and journal so you know your headache triggers. It can be weather, food, perfume... so it can take a bit to drill down on the cause.
