ear noise

I have been diagnosed with a micro pit tumor but I'm wondering if I have a new symptom.  I have been having a noise like nylon stockings rubbing together in one ear.  This comes and goes but mostly I hear it when I yawn or swallow.  I thought maybe I had water or a cold in my ear so I have been taking a decongestion and that doesn't seem to touch it.  I have had this for about 3 weeks.  Has anyone else had this with a pit t ?  Maybe it's just unrelated and it's a regular ear infection.(I've never had an ear infection)

Thanks for the response.  I have no pain, just a fuzzy sound so maybe it's just water in the ear.

I am not sure about the other symptoms - but an ear infection, when I have had it, feels like someone stuck an ice pick in your ear.
I get a lot of noise in my ears - but I have a separate syndrome (meniere's) as well as the tinnitus.
I have no idea if it is related but I think not.
