I know what that IC is like.. horrible.
The thing that cleared up IC for me (after the urologist did a cystoscopy and removed a lesion). He did the urodynamics test.. then the test where they hook the muscles of your bladder up to a little remote with wires attached (then you go home and turn the volume to just so you can feel it working) this was a big waste of time and money for me. THE ONE THING that took care of all of these problems i.e. infections/pain in bladder especially if I slipped or fell, WAS... a dilation of the urethra. He has done it 2 times now.. You would not believe the difference this has made in my life. I think IC is the WORST of the WORST. Thank God mine is cured.. try it, it certainly can't hurt... it sure is worth it!!
Doing research can be quite scary! Let us know what the doc thinks after an exam and history...
IC is interstitial cystitis It is breaks in the lining of the bladder. It is also known as painful bladder syndrome. All treatment for me has failed up to this point.
I have not been to a dr yet I go Tuesday but I am just doing some research to check out what might be a cause of this. It really is quit scary for me. One said that it might have to do with IC yet I have not found where that might be a cause. This has been sudden and recent and seems to be getting worse as time passes.
I also drank cherry coke on regular basis and then woke up one day and found cherry coke had a bad taste. So I switched to cherry pepsi. I did that for about two weeks then woke up one day and found that to have a bad taste to me as well. Everything that I drink has a bad taste except coffee and water so thats all I been drinking being its all I can stand the taste of.
I know a lot of the shortcuts but sorry - what is IC?
Have you been to a neurologist, had imaging and/or other tests?
