Dear jgirl55: Without reviewing your mammogram and doing a clinical breast examination, it is impossible for us to speculate on this finding. Usually, the doctor who prescribed the mammogram would obtain the results and have a discussion with you and make appropriate recommendations if further investigation is needed. If you are not comfortable with the information you have gotten, you may wish to seek a second opinion.
I cannot afford a second opinion. Is this something that i should worry about.i am 50 and going through menopause. my ovaries had to be removed two years ago.the physcian who ordered the test has sice moved away no forwarding address, none of his patients recieved thier medical records.before this mammogram i had ultrasounds on both breast which recommended biopsies, that malignancy could'nt be ruled out. the doctor said not to worry unless something shows on the mammogram.
