CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
This is the kind of news that makes us so very happy!!
Relax now my dear...and enjoy a happy and healthy life... One more thing " mom is always right" LOL.... :)
The results are in and everything is normal! I burst into tears w the doctor still on the phone! I am so relieved. Thank you to everyone who replied. It helps to know you're not alone going through these things. Wow, I am just so grateful! And exhausted too. This waiting sure takes its toll. I wish there was a way to help alleviate people's anxiety. I really feel for all of us who have to go through it.
I am SO sorry to hear that you've had so many important people's lives touched by cancer. It's easy to understand your fear, but I hope you'll try to just keep busy and not stress too much until you get your biopsy results. You can just take one step at a time, and please know that people are here to support you. I agree that the radiologist wouldn't say she thought it was benign if she didn't really believe that. It is so much better to be sure than to have that density just sitting there as an "unknown". Try to stay positive and I hope you hear good news very quickly!
Hugs,
nc
Thank you for your quick response. I should hear something today or tomorrow. I am still very scared...stayed up all night crying but I am prepared to deal with whatever the outcome is. It doesn't help that one of my dearest friends passed away in November from leukemia. She was 40 years old and had two boys the same age as mine. Another friend aged 44 has terminal pancreatic and liver cancer. I am totally overwhelmed.
I meant "Your mind at ease" sorry for the error...
Hi,
Experienced radiologists have a pretty good idea when viewing Mammograms and Ultrasounds imagery.
Because you have a family history of breast cancer, the radiologist, even though she wasn't too concerned, wanted to proceed with a biopsy just to make sure.
You are receiving excellent medical care and I am glad that you had a biopsy just to put my mind at ease.
Your mom is right, the radiologist would not have even hinted " a very low level of concern"if she wasn't almost sure ,but as you well know, only a pathologist report has the final say.
Try to stay calm and please don't stress yourself by assuming that you have cancer, because you could be very wrong. Please let us know about your results. I hope it will be favorable to you.
Best wishes and good LUCK!
BTW, I should have mentioned I am 38 years old.
