Biopsy in morning

Well, my biopsy is in the morning at 9am.  I am glad it is finally here, waiting a week has been stressful.  My OB/GYN just called and said not to worry and asked if I had any questions.  That was nice of him.  I just want it all to be done at this point.  Having to wait until thursday for the results will be the longest day of my life.  I guess one day is quick for the results, but I'd still like to know right away.  I feel like I've been holding my breath for a week now.  It really makes me think though of all I have to be thankful for that's for sure.  I don't think I've ever been this scared.

Well, the biopsy didn't happen.  The microcalcifications are too small, and my breast tissue is too little to get to it.  On compression of my breast they said they needed 3 inches and my breast compressed to 2.7 inches.  I waited a week for nothing basically.  Now I have to see a breast surgeon and schedule a need biopsy with excision.  I am really upset that this could not have been known ahead of time.

Thank you for your message and words of comfort.  I appreciate all your advice.  I was told I will have the results on thursday, the day after the procedure.  I will post them as soon as I know.

Thank you again,

Hi,

Wish you good luck for the procedure - discuss with your doctor about taking pain relief medications if required post procedure.

Find out when the reports would be available and ask for a copy for your self.

Ask him / her whether any precautions need to be taken.

Let us know if you have any other doubts and post us about how the procedure goes.

Regards.
