Is there any type of blood test available that can identify cancer cells in a human body, I mean in any part of the human body, such as breasts, liver etc?
In your initial post you didn't mention pain in your axillary area. The Ultrasound could also include this area if that is also involved. It could be related but also could be due to something entirely different. Lymph nodes can become enlarged for several reasons one being an infection somewhere in the body. It is true that women who have not had children have a slight increase in risk for developing breast cancer but the cyst wouldn't increase the risk. I still think an Ultrasound may shed some light on the cause of your discomfort. Regards ...
Isn't it unusual that my armpit area is painful as well. Can it be all related? I am 37 years old and don't have any children. I wonder if this can lead to breast cancer in the future..
Just because the cyst was drained doesn't mean that the cyst sac is gone. These breast cysts usually come and go and yours may well fill again. Cysts are said to be related to the hormone levels in the body. You don't state your age but your breast may be tender at certain times during the menstrual cycle when the hormone levels vary. If this persists you might request an Ultrasound to see if there is anything going on in that area. Regards ....
