Breast

I have had an ultrasound on my right breast for a lump.  The doc is baffled  and wants to wait six weeks to see if it get's larger or smaller,  however  a green discharge has been coming out of the breast.  Enough to where I had to put a pantyliner in my bra to soak it up.  It is very painful to touch also.   Should I wait the 6 weeks or get second opinion?  Also discharge has slowed down to minimum.

Yes you are right not all people that get cancer have a family history.I think you
have a right to know with no doubt whatever this lump may be & why you have
discharge leaking from your breast.
I am sorry you are going through this waiting a week for me seemed like forever
& I cant even imagine waiting 6 weeks.

I hope you find answers soon & they are good results

God Bless

Thank you very much for your advise....  this is scary stuff.   the doc doesn't seem concerned about breast cancer because there is no family history,   however I had a friend die at the age of 42 of breast cancer  with NO family history either.

I am by no means a expert on this but I cant imagine why he didnt have you contact
a surgeon for a biopsy. This is what I can tell you that happened in my case,my
mammo was abnormal so I went in for US they didnt like what they saw so my
next step was with a surgeon who did another US along witha core biopsy the
same day.
In my opinion & this is only mine I cant understand why the Dr.would or
should be baffled that is the last thing you need is to see your Dr.in that state.

I would certainly ask him why you have to wait?Is it because there is no chance
of this being cancer? If I didnt like his answers I would seek another opinion.
Best wishes
