Thank you for your answer. I was afraid someone was going to tell me that, even though I guess I knew it in the back of my mind all along. I don't think I could bare that ever again.
I was in a similar situation with my first biopsy. My calcifications were situated in an area that was extremely dificult to access via the needle aspiration technique. So,
the radiologist gave up trying. And, it was decided that the surgical excision approach utilizing a localized wire to identify the area, was the way to go in order to perform a successful biopsy.
So, in answer to your question... yeah, if the doctor's feeling is that initial biopsy didn't accomplish the intended goal, which was to obtain enough tissue sample; another attempt, using a different approach may be the likely alternative.
