Could this be breast cancer, no obvious lump, but other symptoms

For two months now I have been having breast pain under the nipple in the lower quadrant of my left breast. It started with the pain being in this area only. I felt around, no lump, but it felt like thick tissue there. I grabbed what had to be a quarter size of thickened tissue and felt around to see where the pain was coming from and it was from there. Since then I have experienced a series of different things like random shooting pains.Pain that  radiated to my arms on different days and the nipple area was only slightly tender and sore. I would leave my arm hanging by my side hoping for it to subside. That's just how painful it was.Starting yesterday, I have a constant icy/hot sensation spreading from the nipple to the upper right quadrant of the left breast and the nipple is really sore if squeezed in comparison to my other breast. I have been checking both breast to compare the difference to make sure I'm not going crazy. There really is a big difference in tissue in the lower quadrant and feeling of the nipple when squeezed.I feel almost no pain when squeezing my right nipple at all. The entire left side of my chest feels like it wearing down. Beyond my breast there is a burning pain in my left ribs and back. I don't know what this is, but I can't die. I have a husband and 6 kids who depend on me for a lot. I can not get my doctor to take me serious and I can not get a voluntary mammogram which I don't understand. I really need to figure this out. I've read about every form of breast cancer there is. There just so many symptoms and differences in people that I'm confused. One that strikes me as being somewhat close is IBC, but I'm not sure. I will say this though, I had a baby last year and I breast feed. One year later and it still has not dried up completely especially in the left breast. Could the left over milk be causing an infection or something? I'm freaking out.

Of the many symptoms you are describing here I doubt that any have much to do with your breast but since we here are unable to evaluate anything except what you have said I suggest that you make an appointment with either your Primary Care Physician or OB/GYN and request a clinical breast exam. This may be followed by other testing such as an Ultrasound of the breast. I would also suggest that you cut back on the comparison and squeezing of the nipple as this will only bring about more sensitivity of the area. Please make an appointment soon as this should always be the first step when you are aware of any symptom that doesn't seem normal to you.    Regards ....
