Evening Primrose Oil for Fibroadenoma

Hello,

I have always heard that Evening Primrose Oil helps in soothing and shrinking Fibroadenoma lumps. I see that these are supplements taken by mouth. Will this be effective if I use the oil to massage my breast? Or do I have to take it by mouth in order for it to work?

Thank you for your comment. I usually do not like taking supplements too, as I am always afraid of the side affects.

Do you know of any home treatments (other than taking supplements) that can be done to ease the pain from the lump that usually occurs around my period? Or home treatments that can help shrink the lump?

I don't believe that any supplements such as you mention will have any particular effect on these benign breast tumors. They are sometimes said to be related to hormone levels in the body in the same way as breast cysts. Treatment varies from doing nothing to surgical removal if they cause considerable discomfort. I would advise you to ck. with your Dr. before using any type of supplement for any reason. Regards .....
