Femara and Vitamin C

I am a survivor of 10 years and I am finished with Tamoxifen and have till October when I will be finished with Femara. My urologist wants me to begin taking Vitamin C and Acidophalos?? I wasalways told that one shoud not take vitamins, having had cancer. I am allowed to take Evening Primrose Oil 1500 one a day to prevent breast cysts.  I am most concerned about starting Vitamin C.

After checking with oncologist I continue to take Omega3 fish oil, Garlic tabs., Glucosamine and Ginkgo Biloba although on Tamoxifen.  Although we have been afflicted with breast cancer we still have to think of the health of our body as a whole - always check though with a medic.

Can I ask who told you you should not take vitamins?  I am a 6 year survivor and never heard that. In fact, I do take vitamins, c being one of them.  I was told to be careful taking herbs, etc. but not the vitamins.  I think you need to talk to your oncologist regarding this.
