HELP! I am in pain

I have had severe breast pain in my right breast for about a month.  It feels like I am nursing a baby ( which I have not done in 12 years). The Doc sent me in for a mammo and Ultrasound which showed microcalcifications. "Come back in 6 months".  I have NEVER had sore boobs ( except while nursing).  This literally came on overnight and I can't endure this pain for 6 more months!!!!  Do calcifications hurt? Do I need to do something else?  I am 40 and otherwise feel great.  Help me

I own a Vintage Ice Cream Truck!  Big steering wheel, little power steering.........This pain feels so prominent in the breast I could have sworn it was a breast issue.  Ladies....Think about any possible trauma or over use!  My season is coming to a close so I can rest the injury!  Thanks Doc!!!!!!!!

Hi again.
Did you surgeon tell you what caused your rib muscle to tear?  Did you have a recent history of trauma?
You may want to take any nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) to relieve you of the discomfort.  Dose titration or addition of another pain medicine can be done if you still experiences pain with the present dose of NSAIDs.
Take care.

Hi.
Aside from breast pain and swelling, do you have other signs and symptoms?
I agree with you that breast pain and swelling, typical of mastitis, is common in breastfeeding mothers.  Since you are not breastfeeding anymore, you may want to undergo further tests like breast ultrasound and biopsy of the area of microcalcifications.  This will give you a more definite explanation as to the cause of your symptoms.  Chronic breast infection should be ruled-out.
Good luck.
