I don't know what to do

Hi all,  Recently I had decided to have breast implants from Lakeview surgery centre in Barrie. And while the mammogram screening, it was detected that I have breast cancer. I was stumbled for a moment when I got to hear this news. The moment I heard this, my mind went blank and I don't even remember whatever the doctor had said. How can I be so careless?! I had all those signs and symptoms, a cancer patient should have. I didn't even share this with my husband and kids. I have no idea whether how they are going to react to this. What if they start hating me after knowing that I'm a cancer patient.

How could you have possibly known ?? You are beating yourself up for no reason. Breast cancer is usually discovered by mammogram which is rarely done unless you happen to discover a lump in your breast and even then it is all too often ignored by many women. You don't state your age but I would be interested in knowing how old you are since you are/were considering implants. Trust me, many diseases are discovered when something, not at all related, is the main issue. I can't imagine that your husband and children would be anything other than supportive and please give them that chance and share this information with them ASAP. You now need to wipe all these thoughts from your mind, consult with a Breast Specialist as to what treatment method is best for you .... by the way I would take my husband with me to the appointment so that he feels included in the decisions that will need to be made. It will also help him to understand and it's always wise to have an extra pair of ears at a time like this. We always have that blank feeling and often miss much of what is being said .... two heads are better than one you know. Settle down now and do what you must; we here have all been there and back. I have no doubt that you can do the same. Kindest regards .....
