So scared of IBC.

Hi everyone. Ok first off I'm a 40 year old female with no history of breast cancer in my family. Recently, I have been on a 30 day holter monitor. The ekg pads caused major irritation to my skin, They are red, blistering and weeping and extremely itchy. Around those areas I've also noticed some small pimples, and what looks like welts/mosquito bites. I'm so afraid this is ibc and not from the electrodes. I am having a mammogram and gynecologist appointment on Monday. I heard ibc is rare also but I'm worried sick. Every time I itch or get a rash around the area I panic. Also I have no breast pain, no abnormal swelling, no discharge. If anyone could help me out I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Breast cancer presents as a mass inside the breast not as bumps on the outside.  I would discuss your concerns with your doctor, and let them evaluate what may be going on.

Good luck
