Im 18 and found one large and one small lump in my breast. Could it be cancer?

A few weeks ago a realized I had a large, hard, moveable lump in my breast. It recently got bigger, so I went to the doctor and she ended up finding another lump, also hard and moveable, but a lot smaller. She told me not to worry and was probably a cyst but im still freaking out. My grandmother died of breast cancer. I know it is super rare for my age but I also know it is possible. I have no other symptoms either. I am getting an ultrasound and biopsy in two weeks and I am really worried. Could this one large and one small lump be cancer?

Hi,
I don’t think you should be worrying about cancer. These lumps are very common and are known to increase in size and tenderness due to hormonal changes. The type of lumps you are describing could very well be Fibroadenomas or Cysts. Both are benign in nature and most often they occur in women in their late teens and early twenties. Fibroadenomas usually feel like a small rubber ball inside the breast tissue and can easily be moved around. It’s a good thing though that you are having an Ultrasound to determine if the lumps are solid (Fibroadenomas) or cysts (fluid filled sacs)
Most likely this is nothing...Just have the Ultrasound as scheduled. A biopsy may not even be required if these lumps characteristics aren’t suspicious.
Best wishes …
