Is the Tram Flap (abdominal mesh) related to the Pelvic Mesh lawsuit?

Can you tell me if the Tram Flap Reconstruction problems that I hear about all over the internet be associated with the Pelvic Mesh class action lawsuit. Thousands of women have gone through the same kind of injuries and side effects as the women who have undergone the Hernia Mesh, Transvaginal Mesh, and Abdominal Mesh surgical procedure.
This reconstruction has put women lives in danger and should be label an extreme danger to women lives. Is there a Blog, Board or some kind of platforms for women to utilize and state their claims to the  Regulatory Medical Board to advised them of the severe dangers this procedure is having on women. We should have our own Class Action Lawsuit initiated if there is not one currently available. These women are suffering unnecessarily and are not being told by the medical industry or their physicians that this procedure is more unsuccessful than not.
Doctors look at the money they are making at the price of women and its dead wrong. We need to get this procedure off the market completely. It is dangerous! The only way we are going to get these doctors attention if there is a threat of a class action lawsuit or their license being in jeopardy.

I wouldn't want my worst enemy to go through the extreme life threatening complications I have heard about or witnessed

Please respond.

My tram flap reconstruction was the worst decision I made. For 2 years I have had nothing but problems such as fluid build up in my abdomen until it eats holes through the abdominal wall and begins to drain for weeks or months. Severe abdominal pain and lumpiness. Now I have just been diagnosed with a mesh infection and am having surgery 2/12/15 for mesh removal. There needs to be a class action lawsuit for us. Oh and my the way my mesh is Prolene mesh which has been recalled.

Not to my knowledge if you are speaking of a class action suit. I'm not sure if you could file on your own, especially after this length of time since your surgery.     Regards ....

Worst decision I ever made.  I had a bilateral tram flap 9-21-06 and a nightmare since them.  Is there a lawsuit related to the mesh in my abd that is infected?

I'm not sure if your post is just an informational post but I don't see any specific question here.  I'm sorry that you have had such a horrible result from your surgery. Many women have had multiple complications following this type of surgery. We can only hope that in the future there will be less of these complications OR that women will somehow be better informed as to what to expect when choosing the Tram Flap procedure. We here wish you well and hope that your upcoming surgery will at least be a start in what will be a full recovery with no more complications.  On behalf of all the women who will read these posts, thank you.    Kindest regards ....

The specific question is, "is the tram flap related to the mesh lawsuit."  And the answer is NO.  Why, is beyond me.  I have contacted several firms involved in the mesh suits, which are specifically for vaginal mesh, and they all said no.  I too am a victim living in hell for 7 years now as a result of the tram flap.

I'm not sure who you are or what type of experience you have had with any of the procedures using "mesh" but I don't recall any posters here that have brought up an issue about it regarding their Tram Flap procedures. I have no idea if any cases involving breast reconstruction are a subject of any law suit at present. If they were I'm sure it would be in the news. Since you mention the Dr.s and MONEY; how about the Lawyers ???? I doubt they are doing any pro-bono work for any of the women with "mesh" issues. We all make our own decisions as far as reconstruction as well as which type to choose. Scare tactics are not appreciated here in our Community .... no Physician will ever refuse to fully inform a patient of the pros and cons of a surgical procedure.   Regards ....
