Itchy left breast

I have had an itchy nipple on my left breast for the past 6 weeks, it gets really irritable at times and I scratch sometimes so much I take the skin off. I havent changed my deoderant, soap, washing powder etc and its not exzma.

It feels the same weather im about to get my periods, or if I have them or if I finished them. Not sure what this could be, also since yesterday, my left breast under the arm and near breast on left side is quite sore and tender. I have also experienced too much saliva about the same time the itch started, not sure if its related but I feel my tongues swollen and burnt trying to constantly swallow excessive saliva.

Anyone have any ideas or similar experience as to what these issues may be. Thank you.

Very wise move ... I'm sure the waiting will seem VERY long but at least it's scheduled. Wondering if your Dr. had any advice in the meantime. Take care .....

Have you followed our advice and have seen a Physician about your symptoms ??? I'm guessing from this latest post that you have NOT !! You need to be aware that by doing nothing you may be complicating the situation. OF course it's up to you but just tolerating it or complaining about it is more than useless. If in fact you haven't seen someone then PLEASE get on with it and stop this doing nothing. Take care ..... let us know what the Dr. thinks about your symptoms, OK ??

Hi guys thanks for your comments.

Roseee it sounds like we both have the same thing, the excessive saliva has me confused but its extremely frustrating, having had it every day for 6 weeks. Ive also gained 6 kilos in 6 weeks. And along with my breast  issues for the same amount of time, its quite daunting. I also feel like I have a strap or belt around my throat constantly. My breast and nipple has been so sore lately, at times my left breast feels very heavy and a tingle or vibrating feeling like im resting a phone on the side of my breast. This has no pattern and is always different each day, sometimes itchier than others.

Hi
My right nipple is been itchy for more than 2 months. I have swolen limp nodes in my neck and under arm, and have a same saliva problem, feels like i have a weird cold.
My aerola is flaky and wrinkled. I been using cortisone cream for 4 weeks and not helping at all, i am scheduled for a mammogram next wednesday.
I am very scared.
Please go to your doctor for an advice.

It's true, we are all good a putting things off but we need to learn to do better :)  It really isn't a matter of being lazy ..... we women seem to just tolerate things longer while we're going on with life. Hope you find out something soon.   Regards ....

If this has been going on for 6 weeks as you state then you first of all need to STOP SCRATCHING as this is only irritating the area further. I'm not at all surprised that the surrounding area is sore or tender after such a length of time. I would advise you to see either your own Dr. or a Dermatologist IMMEDIATELY to see what is causing this problem. I see no connection to Breast Cancer and certainly don't understand the excess saliva that you mention happening at the same time as the itching. If this itching is so severe I don't quite understand why you have no sought some advice from your Dr. in the past 6 weeks but now is the time to do that .... you might even ck. at an Urgent Care Facility and get some temporary relief and further advice regarding your problem.  Good Luck ....
