Male breast cancer

I'm not sure what it is but in the same place above both my nipples are lumps under the skin, they are not sore and do not itch, they are about 3cm above the nipple and exactly the same place and size. Also I'm only 16. Im scared it might be cancer what is it?

Guys can have breast cancer. I'm a male who had a breast removed when I was just 22 years old because of a precancerous condition. But usually in cancer only one breast is involved. It's very unusual to have cancer in both breasts at the same time. It's extremely unlikely that you have cancer.

Believe it or not men can too get breast cancer no matter the age and so you need to check it out at your doctor as some lumps found in the breast can be malignant (cancerous) or benign (non-cancerous).

Hi Jack .... I'm quite certain that these lumps are due to hormonal changes that are taking place in your body; especially at your stated age. One thing I would caution you is NOT to squeeze these lumps as this would irritate the area and it could become irritated and sore. You might mention this to your Dr when you see him/her next or perhaps the Nurse at your school. These lumps are quite common in both males and females during the teen years when many hormonal changes are taking place in the body. Take care now and don't forget to mention this to your Dr for a complete explanation as to their cause.
