Should I be worried?

I found a lump or so I thought just before Xmas....turned out not to be but upon examination the doctor found an actual lump on same breast. They referred me for a mammogram and then ultrasound and biopsy all in one visit!i kind of began to worry after it sunk in what was happening! The results showed as the doctor put it a star? She said it was quite dense and very calcified. Two weeks later I had an mri and was told they weren’t sure if was cancer but to be safe they would schedule me to have the 40mm lump removed. This was done 5 days ago I get my results in two days. I don’t understand why the removal if not cancerous.

Thanks for your positive thoughts, I’m so confused, I guess I’ll find out tomorrow. It was really weird though because the original doctor I saw....we went to high school together and she told me she would be straight up with me and tell me if I had cancer, the next visit was a new doctor. Are doctors like lawyers ....conflict of interest by personally knowing me? I’m probably just over thinking, the waiting and not knowing is the worst!

wow.  I have never heard of such a thing. maybe they pretty sure what the biopsy  report will show?  My doctors knew before my biopsy that i did have cancer.
I hope that is not the case, and there is no way for know for sure until the report comes back.
it sounds like you are in good hands.
Hugs and positive thoughts!
