More calcifications in previous biopsy area

I had a biopsy about 8 months ago because a diagnostic mammogram showed clustered microcalcifations. The biopsy report said that the finding was tattoo ink although I do not have a tattoo on my breast. I was told to come back in 6 months to establish a baseline since my biopsy, so about 8 months later I show up, have the mammogram and was told that there are prolific microcalcifications in the same area where the biopsy was done previously. Why more now? Isnt that rather quick for more to show up and why? I dont understand if the result was benign why more would show up in the same place especially since it was obviously not tattoo ink...

Your biopsy report was negative for cancer. That means that you probably do not have cancer in your breast. But no negative test is ever conclusive. However if a test comes back negative several times in succession, assuming that the test was expertly performed, you can fell pretty well assured that there is no pathology.
