Pain after lumpectomy

One month ago I had a lumpectomy. Every test came back negative. I had seven stiches and they were removed after ten days. I am still having pain. There is a hard core about 2 inches around the incision, it has continued to hurt  some. The extra pain I am having now started about two weeks ago. It covers most of my breast. The rest of the breast has become very tender to the touch, as if it covers only the skin and about 1/4 of an inch deep. When things rub against it, it feels as if someone is taking sandpaper to it. It even hurts when I get chill bumps. I thought it might be something to do with my nerves, because I am just now getting touch sensation back on the side of the breast where the incision was. I have no redness, fever at the site, or real fever. On the phone the doctor said that he thinks it is mastalgia and to ue oil of primrose and Advil. He is not exactly a teacher and I would feel better if I could understand what is going on. Thank you.

I had a lumpectomy done almost two months ago, everything came back negative, my breast pain is very minimal but have had severe pain and swelling in my left leg for the past month , if i bend my foot towards me, the pain travels up my cal, but if standing or sitting it is in the back of my thigh, if i sit for longer than 30 minutes, it is hard to get going once i stand up it feels like something is just twisting in the back of my thigh, i have done no overly strenuous activity or anything that would starin or pull any muscles, can anyone help me figure out what is going on, or is it just me?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
How are you? Mastalgia or breast pain may be cyclical or non-cyclical. Cyclical  mastalgia is usually the pain prior to each menstrual cycle that is due to hormonal imbalance. We are particularly interested with the second type which is non cyclical. It is usually unilateral and localised to a particular quadrant of the breast. There are numerous possible causes of non-cyclical mastalgia including: cysts; mastitis; stretching of Cooper’s ligaments; trauma; Mondor’s disease; and neoplastic
processes. Trauma to the breast with the lumpetomy  and removal of breast tissue could be the specfic cause of your pain. Though it is normal to feel swelling and pain after lumpectomy, it usually resolves as the tissue heals. Pain relievers and evening primrose oil is commonly used in the treatment of  breast pain. Evening primrose is a plant native to North America with yellow flowers that bloom in the evening. Evening primrose oil contains gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), an essential fatty acid which  is required by the body for growth and development. It has been used for other conditions involving inflammation and for conditions affecting women's health, such as breast pain.

I hope this helps. Take care and keep us posted.
