Pain under right breast

I haven't been to a doctor for a while now, but for the past month, I have noticed under my right breast, or at the edge of it, it is so sore.  I have a little boy, so I am constantly picking him up, and that's when I notice.  I am sure I'm getting ready to menstruate soon, but it's just on the bottom of one of them. The other breast is fine, and it's only sore underneath the right breast.  I don't know exactly what I am looking for when doing a self breast exam, because it all feels lumpy.  I'm fairly small chested.  The bra I wear is almost like a sports bra. It is all mainly like a cotton with a little extra padding for protection.  It doesn't have a wire in it. Is it something I might want to have checked out? It hurts when it is touched.

I already feel like a hypochondriac sometimes, because I've been in there several times, because I had a lasting pain in a my abdominal area. Turns out I had a cyst once, and the others, found nothing.

I think the best answer to this is why NOT have it checked out?
