Possible silicone implant complication

Has any experienced ecapsulated silicone implants?  I think I have one.  I had my exchange surgery (expanders to silicone) on 11/6/08.  My right breast moves, and has relaxed slightly so it seems natural, while my left one is a stationary mound.  The left also has had some irritation and redness in the cleavage.  The plastic surgeon is unconcerned about the redness.  Its not a surgical infection.  Its some type of irritation but it is situated where nothing touches it.  If anyone has experienced this, can you give me some feedback as to what my options are?  My next appt is not until 1/7 and I was told no need to come in sooner.  Just keep massaging it.  Its hard to do when there is no give if you know what I mean.
Thanks for any input and Happy Holidays!!!!!

Hi Sarah, I 've been reading your posts often.

I have a bit of a scare right now. I went for my 6 months follw-up MRI after my last negative mammogram back in June and they told me I need to have an MRI guided biopsy because they see other new foci of enhancement ( the largest being 6 mm) in an area that already had an stable enhancement for at least 3 years.

My biopsy is scheduled on 12/29!
Take care

I had saline implants done in 2004. My left breast is soft and looks good, my right breast has capsulated, it is hard, hurts when I sleep on my stomach, when I raise my right arm, I can feel the tightness in the muscle under the breast pulling. Dr. said to massage on a regular basis. If this does not help, may have to go back in and clean out scar tissue and put implant back in.Good Luck
