Scared

I'm geting a Sterotactic Core Biopsy done next Thursday and I'm scared!  I don't even handle a filling at the dentist well!  I called my Brest center and they assured me I would only feel "Pressure" I told them I was afraid and they really were nice of assuring me I would be ok.  I think I am having big time anxiety an just making myself worse!  Just tell me does this hurt and what should I expect?
Thank you so much for all your advice!

I just had one done yesterday.  As Kara said it isn't pleasant but they do numb the site first.  You will feel pressure but not pain.  I drove myself home after the biopsy - three hour drive from doctors.  A bit discomfort due to location being so close to bottom bra line.  Doing fine this morning - no pain or discomfort.
Hope you receive good news on your biopsy.

I have had that done myself. It's not a pleasant thing to go through but they do numb you first. Ask if they can give you a mild sedative. I finished my chemo June 18th. Finished my surgery July 6th. So good luck tomorrow and make sure someone's with you when you go. Preferably someone with a crazy sense of humor to keep you entertained. You will go through your own way of emotionally expressing yourself....so just know time will fly by. I wish you lots of luck. I will check back occasionally in case you post a comment later. OK??? I'm sure your family will be supportive of you.
