Shooting pain - worry

Here I am again -  I think my breasts just don't like me for some reason.

earlier in the year I had a breast lump in my left breast -  a Core needle Biopsy showed it to be non cancerous. Then I ahd a swelling in my right arm pit which showed up as a fatty lump and inflamation caused by over active ovaries... seems I produce way too many hormones around ovulation time.... so they inserted a Mirena coil (14 july) in an attempt to 'turn off my ovaries' because of the breast lump history they wouldn't use a hormone patch. Well I read a lot of side effects people have had with the Mirena coil and as of yet I have had no problems other than the expected daily bleeding/spotting.

Well this Wednesday when I took my bra off I had a shooting pain through my left breast that took my breath away -  it came from the armpit area right down the side of my breast. then the last 2 nights it has woken me up when I go from lying on my right side to my back.  I can't find a particular area of sensitivity or pain whenI do a breast exam on that side, but the tisue feels generally dense and sore. I am worried going back to the doctor they will think I am getting obsessed or being a hypocondriac... I had not been to the GP with anything for years and this eyar I have lived in their surgery with several unrelated things.

This pain shoots like a hot poker being put through my breast...... has anyone had this sort of pain and what was it? Could it be related to the hormones from the Mirena coil?

Thank you for taking the time to reply... I will go back to my GP and get it checked again.

I don't think that you should worry about what anyone thinks about how often you have been to the doctor.  You know your body better than anyone and if you are having repeat pain that is a symptom that deserves attention.   I don't know anything about your coil, but who ever put it in should be able to answer those questions.
Good Luck!
