Yes, an Ultrasound can be done at any time ... if there is some doubt as to what the lump represents then only a biopsy will make a definite diagnosis. This could very well be a Fibroadenoma;these occur like cysts but are solid rather than filled with fluid. They are also a benign finding and can either be removed or left alone. Regards .....
Hi japdip,
The doctor confirmed two out of three is a cysts but the other one is a lump. I want to go back and see him this week to discuss the lump. Can you do an ultrasound if you have your period?
If the Dr. has confirmed that you do have a cyst there is no need to do anything unless you are having a lot of discomfort associated with the cyst. I wouldn't go thru a biopsy since it has been diagnosed as a cyst. If you want to have it removed this won't mean that another cyst won't occur .... I personally wouldn't have an invasive procedure unless the cyst was causing me a lot of pain. It should be checked fairly often; probably 3 to 6 months by Ultrasound to track any growth. About half of all women have what is sometimes called Cystic Breast Condition and have many cysts in one or both breasts. Cysts are benign and don't become anything more and most are just left alone. Regards .....
Thank you all for replying,
The doctor confirmed its a cysts and a lump by looking at the ultrasound. Should I be worried. He just advise me to either get it remove to 6 months check up. I'm going back this month for another ultrasound. My first ultrasound was 11/11/2011.
Should I do a biopsy or get it remove. Oh no, I'm so worried now. Should I go now?
If you know that these are definitely are cysts which are benign you can certainly exercise normally. I would suggest though that you wear a VERY GOOD supportive sports type bra and exercising without adequate support may cause you more discomfort. If you have not seen a Breast Specialist and don't know that your breast problems are due to cysts then you need to do so. Regards ....
Priority is important. First find out from your doctor whether what you are feeling in your breast is a lump or cyst. Then follow through with
any test that needs to be done to confirm what you have. Treat what needs to be treated and give thanks to God if you have nothing to worry about. Then go to the gym and work out as long as you want.
