Strange red lump

Hello girlies :) i just needed somewhere to turn really. When i woke up this morning i noticed a red lump on my left breast. Its not raised on the skin but when i touch it i can feel a kind of ball shaped lump, just bigger than a pea i'd say. on the surface it's just smaller than the size of a 2p. one side of it is kind of blue looking, and the majority of it is red. its located to the left of my nipple. not directly on it, but about a cm away.
before i jump to conclusions i just wanted to check someones opinion. I'm 19 years old and i've literally just started the combined pill about a week ago. I showed my dad but he had no idea what it was and told me to keep an eye on it, and my mums gonna have a look when she comes home.
My nan has had breast cancer twice so obviously i'm abit worried.
I wouldn't say its particularly sore, i had no idea it was there until i saw it, but now that i know its there im aware of the feeling of it being there, like without touching it, im aware of it there. but that might be psychological. there is also a hair on my boob there and i did think maybe it was just an ingrown hair but i've had that before and obviously that doesnt make you have a lump on the inside.
anyway im rambling but im just trying to explain the whole situation. if anyone could get back to me asap i'd be really thankful. :) thanks alot.

What you describe doesn't sound like anything related to breast cancer but more like some type of infection. An infected hair follicle is always a possibility. You might think about seeing your family Dr. who could offer an opinion and some type of treatment to resolve this problem. I congratulate you for talking to your parents about this; so many young women seen reluctant to discuss such issues. You are a very smart young woman ..... Regards ....
