Tram Flap Complications and Surgical Mesh

It seems that a LARGE number of women who have had a Tram Flap procedure are experiencing similar symptoms up to many years post surgery. You can see this on various websites throughout the internet. Perhaps it is time for further investigation to be done with regards to a common denominator in all of these women and tram flap surgery. Could it be the mesh over time affecting the immune system? There has been a recall on surgical mesh. Have these women checked to see what brand/type of surgical mesh has been used? Could the mesh be the culprit of these symptoms?

Thanks for this post.  Four years ago, I had a TRAM flap procedure done and am still miserable.  I would be very interested in more research/help/investigations...

I have no personal info regarding this issue ... perhaps some of the Plastic Surgery sites may have an opinion but as far as I know there has been no discussion dealing with the current law suit regarding surgical mesh as related to Tram Flap or any other Breast procedure.     Regards ....
