Very Itchy breast

I was awoken last night with some very severe itchy in my left breast.  I have had breast agmentation about 7 years ago and have had no probelms. But the itching has gotten worse through the day.  I itching is coming from inside my breast, I don't have much sensation on around the outside since my surgery.  The only way to stop the itchy is to pressure on my breast.  Is this as serious as I have found online- llike cancer?  It is a holiday weekend and I won't be able to get into the doctor till next week.  What should I be doing?  Or do I just wait it out and not go in unless something else happens? Thank you for your time.

Thanks for the 'more' information response. now it is almost time for your appointment, right, and I am glad you are having it to be checked out, and to soothe your troubled mind.

The reason I was asking for other changes is because chnge in breast size in only one breast, and a lump or lumpiness, and nipple inversion, etc, all in just one breast, may be suspicious signs for cancer.

I don't think yours sounds like bc, but then, since you had the cosmetic surgery, stuff that may be wrong thinking about the worst case, may present itself differently.

There may be something wrong with one of the saline implants, like a leaking, or something. This does happen sometimes, and not always right after surgery, or even soon after.
I am also thinking this because of the deep itching inside the breast you describe.

Sorry I cannot help more. Be sure to also consult with your plastic surgeon if for some reason the doctor you are seeing is other than that one, or if that MD doesn't think about it, or you are not satisfied with the explanation you get?

Best, Katrin, and please let us know if possible what you found out?

Let's see, I know have had some pain with the itching too.  I dont' feel lumps in the breast that is itching but maybe some very tiny ones in the other breast that has no pain or itching.  No breast size change or nipple change, though I they are sensitive, but is that from all the scratching, I don't know. I have never had this issue before. I did have reconstrutive surgery done back in Marchof 2003 with saline implants put in at that time.  But I have never had this sort of issue even while healing from that.  My reconstructive surgery was done after breastfeeding three babies and really **** damage to my breast area, my surgeon was great and was supportive of the procedure. My implants are not huge or anything, they are just average size for my frame, I wasn't going for the size, just to be put back to gether again was all.
Thank you

You didn't even answer my questions. Do you have any other symptoms besides the itching? Lumpy breast? (I mean just that one?) Any breast size changes? Nipple changes? Anything else different with just that breast than with the other? Have you had this problem before?

I can only tell you more about what I think if you provide a little more information. kat

I did take Benadryl but that did not help.  The itchy is coming from deep inside the breast.  Last night I was woken up several times and this time some pain has come along with the itchy sensation too.  I am waiting for the doctor to open so I can try to get in there this morning to figure this out.  Any other suggestions and comments?

I would try some Benadryl or Hydrocortisone cream over the weekend to see if the itching improves. Do you feel any lumpiness as well in that breast and not the other?
If it does not improve completely after a couple of days I would call your doctor on Monday for a clinical breast exam. Best wishes, Katrin
