I would like to thank all who have responded to my question. You have been of great help to me. I have notified my doctor's nurse about this forum. She still had not heard from the drug company. I told her I wanted to go off Aromasin and try another. She was going to tell the doctor. I am still waiting to hear from him. I just had more reconstruction surgery.
Thank you for your reply.
I already see an opthalmologist, who has been puzzled with my complaints and my declining vision. Now maybe we will have answers.
Aromzine is known to affect vision. It is not known whether the cause for this is injury to the optic nerve or due to vascular effects especially that the drug is known to increase the formation of blood clots. Consult and opthalmologist as soon as possible.
Thank you for your prompt reply. I knew things were getting worse and suddenly full blown. I have this general feeling of not being well, and although I have many other problems, this is the 1st time I have felt so sick.
I am going to bring my labs to my oncologist and have him change my meds again.
Once again, thank you.
If anyone else has anything to add, it would be greatly appreciated.
Suzanne
All the symptoms you have listed are indeed side effects of your medication. As far as the length of time for them to develop; every drug's side effects do not develop at the same time nor do all have an effect on every person and often not to the same degree. I can't understand why your Oncology team wouldn't have the side effects of all the drugs readily available. You might ck. where all drugs are listed along with their side effects. If side effects are to the point of danger to other bodily systems they can always either be switched or even stopped if necessary. Regards ....
