What happens after Sentinel Lymph node is removed?

Does a new lymph node step up and become the one in charge?

So it's just a geography thing?

I was sort of enjoying imagining a Sentinel Node, an Amazon Warrior who would be in charge of an army of lesser nodes

Thanks for your answer

Will be sacrificing my Sentinel Node for the greater good in 1 week

Nothing happens .... our body contains tons of lymph nodes. The term Sentinel Node is used to identify the first few nodes that the tumor drains into. We don't "grow" new nodes. It doesn't mean that the Sentinel node is in charge of anything. If there were to be another tumor then the first few nodes into which it might drain would be the Sentinel nodes.  Regards ....
