What questions to ask my doctor?

I just got the phone call yesterday that I have cancer cells on my both breasts. I am going to see my primary doctor tomorrow. I still can't think and don't know what questions to ask for my doctor?

Hi,
I am sorry you have been diagnosed with cancer in both your breasts. Depending on the information that your doctor has learned about your cancer, he/she will let you know about all the treatment options you’ll be needing. Take a list of questions with you so you don't get nervous and forget to ask anything that concerns you .You might want to bring someone along to help you ask questions. This person can also help you understand and/or remember the Doctor’s answers and recommendations.
Wishing you all the best.

Thank you so much. I did not think of bringing someone with me. Great tip.

You are more than welcome!
Your primary care Doctor will refer you to a specialist to treat your breast cancer and of course you can take someone with you, if you wish. It is equally important to have someone accompany you so you have an extra pair of ears when you see the Surgeon. He/she will inform you what has to be done in your particular case. However, if you have any doubts at all concerning the treatment that will be recommended, you can always seek a second opinion from another Surgeon so that you will know exactly how to proceed.
I wish you good luck and I hope all goes well for you!

I was just recently diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer. I wish you well! It seems overwhelming at first. Also the reconstruction options seem like wow. Take care.
