after a stereotactic biopsy

I had a needle biopsy yesterday and the technician didn't give me any information about what to expect afterwards.  All she said was no heavy lifting and no aerobics, but that's all.   Are there specific things I should be looking out for, avoiding, or doing?

I had that procedure in late 2007.You can pretty much continue your routine activities; but, you'll need to avoid heavy lifting for a few days. The puncture site will need to be kept clean and dry to prevent infection. I was also told to avoid hot tubs and swimming pools until I was completely healed which, was another precautionary measure to minimize the possibility of infection. After healing you'll be left with a barely noticeable puncture scar.

I also had a stereotactic on Monday.  Depending where on the breast they inserted,  you need to be careful about pulling the incision open through lifting even regular things like a gallon of milk. My incision keeps reopening and bleeding and upon advice of the nurse I have changed my steri strips and that has helped.

I hope that helped.
