asymmetric breast density

Last year I got a call to come in for a follow up diagnostic mammogram due to asymmetric breast density.  They said it was ok to come back in twelve months.  I took the mammogram last week and just got the call they want me to come in for the same reason.  I am concerned that they see some change.  Thoughs?  Mar

I just returned from the diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound.  Some calcifications seen but no mass found.  I am in the clear until next year.  Thanks for responding.

Well, yes, I surely think they did see either the same asymmetry they saw last year, or otherwise a clearer picture which gives them the same feeling they had before and which is to follow up on what is visible with more diagnostic tests like ultrasound and/or even biopsy?

A suspicion is often followed up to make sure 'it's' not malignant, or otherwise to find out what it is exactly.

Does that make sense? I am not surprised, and yet, calling you back does not mean it's malignant?
