back issues after tram flap

I had the tram flap surgery on left side back in 1991. I happened to be born without a mammary gland on that side and never developed. First I had a silicone implant put in when i was 16, in 1979, then a reduction on right in 1980. then in 1987 silicone ruptured and they attempted to put in another one, but my body rejected that one. Was told that silicone did leak into my system, how much i don't know. So then i went again without anything until tram flap in 1991. I am a bit of an excerciser and like to stay in shape. But now here we are in 2013 and i am having all kinds of back issues from top to bottom. I do feel that the right side of my body has been carrying the left side for 22 years now and right side finally got tired of doing all the work. I feel like I'm walking crooked. Have seen a chiropractor, massages, physical therapy, pain meds and now am going to a neurologist. They say I have narrowing in cervical and lumbar and spurs in thoriac. Constant pain, so I'm wondering if anyone else feels that back issues could be due to tram flap because of muscles being cut on one side and made me weaker and walked ****-eyed for 22 years. Thank you for any help, I'm at a loss as of what to think anymore.

Thanks for your input. Yeah i don't know what's going on, but i do know I've led a fairly active live until this past 1 1/2 year. I'm only 49 and feel like I'm 80. So hope they can figure something out.

That's a hard question to answer .... I would hope that you might get the Neurologist's opinion on that. You know when women have a mastectomy and choose NOT to wear a prosthesis or not have reconstruction of some type, after several years they will have back problems so I'm not sure I'd be too quick to blame it on your surgery although that might also be a causative factor. Now that you are seeing a Neurologist let's hope that some solution will be found.  Regards ....
