You welcome Alisa,
I am glad to know that you had an Ultrasound today,so you can finally put your mind at ease knowing what this lump represents.
Yes,your doctor is right to advise you to avoid caffeine intake, (Coffee, tea, chocolate and colas)because it decrease water retention and could help alleviate pain and even shrink the cysts.
Reducing fat in your diet may also be helpful.
Please let us know about your results and what is the BIRADS score stated on the Ultrasound report.
BIRADS is a quality control system, used by radiologists after interpreting mammograms, ultrasound and MRIs.
This system allows radiologist to categorize the findings by numbers. The scores go from 0 to 5.The higher the number the more suspicious is the abnormality. So it's important for you to know the score.
Wishing you the best of luck!. :)

Hi,
In most cases, breast lumps are not a sign of breast cancer especially at your young age..
Most likely this could be a cyst or a Fibroadenoma .These kind of lumps are not cancerous and are commonly found in women in their late teens and early twenties, but can also occur in women of any age.The cause of these benign lumps are related to hormonal fluctuations in the body.
Breast cancer is indeed very rare at your age,but it's not an impossibility...Anytime you feel a lump in your breast, you have to be aware that it is an abnormality and it's always wise to have it checked out by your health care provider who will probably recommend an Ultrasound.and then your doctor will decide what to do about it depending on the results of the test.
Please don't let this go on longer than it has already been .Call your doctor for a check up okay?
Take care and wishing you all the best..
