do I have IBC symptoms?

I had surgery to remove what we thought was a Papilloma, it wasn't, the Dr said it just looked stretched...removed the ducts that were bad & that's it. well, I had what felt like an infection because I developed a sore where the adhesive they closed me with was, and, I must be allergic to the tape now too. took 10 days of antibiotics. It's been 2 weeks since I finished them & I still have *pink* areas on my Breast & it feels very *warm to the touch* ALL the time. My Dr still says it's the ducts acting up. I do have a slight discharge from the nipple. I don't want this to be IBC & me being treated for something it is not! I have had mamms, ultrasounds & an MRI, all neg. but, I do know that IBC goes undetected & mistaken for other things til it's just too late. What tests need to be done to get an accurate diagnosis?
I may just be worrying for nothing, & , hope that I am! Anyone got any input?
Thanks so much!

PS: some signs of IBC are  an inverted nipple, the size of the breast may change, or it feels lumpy in only the affected breast. Also, visible changes occur and may changer rapidly, come and go, and/or a lump will grow and feel firmer and bigger in a matter of only hours or days. You may generally feel unwell and retain water and have other strange symptoms, like flu like symptoms. (Remember, this is only my own opinion and experience.)

I am not sure if japdip meant to say 'would not have been missed' rather than 'would have been missed'. I am really not sure and maybe she will clarify.

I had a tape allergy when they put in my port for chemotherapy and It was extremely painful, and I ended up just ripping off the dressing the same night. A large patch of skin was literally eaten away and oozing. When I had the port removed I mentioned this and no tape was used and it was not a problem at all. but the prior thing also left a big scar. It took a while to heal.

I just don't think you have IBC, and it is only sometimes true that this doesn't show up at all on ultrasound and/or mammogram. In many cases it does and this is also true for MRI. I do think your symptoms are due to the tape allergy and make sure you let everyone know from now on.

I would think that if you had some type of biopsy and tissue removed that was sent to the Pathology Lab the diagnosis of IBC would have been missed. If you are not comfortable with your Dr.s assessment of the situation you can always obtain a second opinion from a Breast Specialist. IBC is rarely diagnosed by Mammogram or Ultrasound .... some form of biopsy is needed; even a punch skin biopsy.     Regards ....
