My nineteen year old daughter has been diagnosed with having fibroadnoma cysts (3) in her breasts. We have a history of breast cancer in both maternal grandmother's, and my brother had a breast removed to Cancer as well. Our doctor says that these cysts are likely benign but his words do not give me much comfort considering the family history. Even if these are benign, at what point should she become alarmed as these things appear and keep growing bigger? Is there a link between absent menstrual cycles and these fibroadnomas? She has never had a regular cycle and will sometimes go from 3- 6 months between them. Could there be a hormonal cause for the growth of these cysts? What type of specialists could give us some answers? Thank you.
