getting a cyst after babie

i have a question can u get get breast cyst after pregnancy?? im 25 and i just had a babie last july found a lump in my left breast in november had my ultrasound this past week and the lady told me it look like a cyst it feels kinda long but with a lump i been trying all week to go see a surgen cause thats what my doctor wanted they sent them over autharized forms so that i can make an appointment and so far they havent approved it yet im so scared of them taking to long and what if it turns out to be cancer cause my cyst doesnt hurt it did a few weeks ago but that was about it now the soreness is gone i still have the lump i dont think i grew i dont have family history of breast cancer!any information about cyst please help!!

Don't ever hesitate to come here to ask whatever concerns you may have. The waiting is always the worst but very necessary. The Dr. is 100% correct; imaging can indicate whether something is more likely than not to be a specific thing but NEVER diagnose with certainty. It's also dependant on the Radiologist and his or her experience. Take care and wait as patiently as possible .......

thanks for ur response im sorry if im being annoying all this waiting is getting to me but i thank u for ur commenting me back i dont think its related to cancer it's just when the my doctor told me not to just relie on imaging and to get a biopsay done to know the real facts!!

Cysts are hormone related and are not always painful ... that comes and goes with the level of hormones in the body. I don't quite understand why you would think that this cyst is related in any way to Breast Cancer. Although family history is a consideration it accounts for only a small amount of all Breast Cancers. Waiting for the appointment with the Surgeon isn't anything to be concerned about either .... it's all a process that can't be rushed and to answer your initial question; you can develop a cyst at any time.   Regards ....
