lump in armpit

I haVE A 1.8CM BREAST TISSUE IN MY RIGHT ARMPIT, WHICH IS CAUSING DISCOMFORT. INCLUDING NERVE PAIN, MY SURGEON TELLS ME IT'S NOT RELATED TO THE DISCOMFORT IN MY ARMPIT. BUT I WAS EXPERIMENTING DISCOMFORT, BEFORE THE NERVE PAIN STARTED, WHICH IN TURN IS CAUDING NUMBNESS, TINGLING, SWELLING, MY PINKI FINGER & THE FINGER NEXT TO IT TO GO NUMB & CURL UNDER, MY ARM IS COLD A LOT OF THE TIME. THE LUMP IS SENCISITVE TO TOUCH , & HAS SINCE HAD TO RESORT TO LOTION TYPE DEODORANT , AS THE SOLIDS OR ROLL ON ARE JUST TO Painful to use. I can't apply any pressure to the area at all. my ? is is the verve pain a result of the lump or not. my Dr. said there are no nerves are no wear near the armpit area. so they are not related . So He is delaying the removal of the breast tissue at this time to focus on the nerve issue  I have . what to do ???

Pain, numbness, tingling, etc. going down the arn and into the hand is often due to a "pinched nerve" in the neck.

Has your doctor ruled out a cervicsa disk problem?

Meanwhile, although it amy be unrelated, it would be good to determine for sure what the underarm lump is, as japdip recommended.

Best wishes,

I would certainly go along with the Dr. in investigating other causes for your many symptoms. I do agree that this quite small amt. of errant breast tissue might cause some discomfort it doesn't seem large enough to be responsible for ALL of the other symptoms. It can always be removed when it is determined that there isn't another cause for the numbness, etc. I'm curious if a biopsy has been performed to see if this is indeed breast tissue. You could always get a second opinion if you aren't comfortable with the results from your present Dr.s ... Regards ...
