painful flakey nipple

Hi, the last 2 days I have noticed my left nipple is quite painful, as if I'm bruised, but there is no dis-colouration and I've not knocked it or anythin sexual. My nipple is a little flakey and the nipple and ariolia? is very tender to touch, In fact i've not felt discomfort like this before, ive just walked down my stairs and actually felt pain with out me actually touching it. I must say around 8 yrs ago I did actually find a pea sized lump in my breast, luckily it turned out to be a cyst :) does anyone know what this pain might be? thank you x

Thank god it's a miracle and nothin serious. x

There is no way to tell exactly what might be responsible for the discomfort you describe. I would think a visit to your Dr. would be a very good idea for a clinical breast exam and any test that may be appropriate. Anything new/different regarding the breast should always be brought to the attention of your Physician as soon as possible.   Regards ....
