I just had a papilloma removed yesterday. I am feeling great and just waiting for the results of the biopsy. I am confident, after many tests, that it is benign as I was told it should be.. I had a bloody discharge with no pain and it did not show up in the mammogram or sonogram. I felt it was a precaution to it turning malignant as I was told and I went ahead and had the procedure. It was done in the hospital. It took about 20 minutes  after the prep. I felt nothing and was fine.immediately after. Hope this helps anyone that needs to consider this surgery.

Papillomas can be either benign or malignant .. usually a single papilloma is more likely to be benign. The surgery is fairly simple; a small incision is made along the edge of the areola and the duct and papilloma are removed. The recovery time is minimal and the scar hardly evident.   Regards ..
