pulling sensation in left breast

Hello, for the past week or so I have noticed a really strange sensation in my left breast.  It feels like someone is pulling or tugging on it from the inside.  It is the most awkward feeling.  At first I honestly thought it was the under wire of my bra poking it but i have the sensation with out a bra as well.  It feels stronger if I lean forward or turn my body.  I also have been experience a lot of neck and upper shoulder pain for about a month but had just thought I slept wrong or something.  No other symptoms.  I am 32 years old. My aunt passed away from breast cancer and my father passed away from Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma.  Any advice? Thanks!

Hi,
If you haven’t noticed any abnormal features on breast self-examination like a breast lump, nipple discharge or skin changes, I would doubt that the pain you are describing is associated to breast cancer. The pain in your breast could be due to many benign causes like injury to the breast tissue, a pulled muscle, a pinched nerve, Costochondritis which is an inflammation of the cartilage that connects a rib to the breastbone and it could also be caused by an improper posture.
As you can see there are so many factors that cause this pain, but to be on the safe side, it’s important that you make an appointment with your Doctor and check it out so that your condition can be evaluated and find out the cause of your discomfort.
Best wishes..
