results from a mammogram

My recent mammogram and ultrasound showed benign bilateral axillary lymph nodes noted.  What does this mean?

It means that your lymph nodes were seen on some of your films. We have many lymph nodes throughout our bodies including the axillary area. Benign means that they are normal in appearance. It's a GOOD thing.

Dear tina813:  This means that there are benign (non cancerous) appearing lymph nodes present on the films under your arm.  You may want to ask your doctor what this means in the context of your situation.
