saline implant

In 1995 I had a mastectomy and reconstruction with a saline implant of my left breast.  Lately, when I'm exercising or using my left arm I get a sharp pain, upper arm.  The pain will reduce to soreness in the same general area and implanted breast.  After an hour the episode is over.  This doesn't happen every day. And, indigestion (burping) seems to accompany the pain.  Most of my lymph nodes were removed.  Is this pain related to my implant?

I suspect lymphedema may be the problem since many nodes were removed.  I am a 7 year survivor and still have many pricks and pains in the axillary area--as yet no lymphedema (Thirteen nodes were removed).

Dear vineyard, This pain could be related to the implant, it may be muscle soreness from exercising, or it may be due to other factors.  You may want to discuss your experience with your doctor to see if further evaluation is needed.
